2017. “When I am presenting to groups, I now use the title, `Make American health care
great again,’” he says.
Fendrick is on the front lines of developing strategies and tactics to make U.S. health
care more effective as well as more affordable. He approaches this difficult task from
multiple positions: director of the Center for Value-Based Insurance Design; professor in
the University of Michigan’s Department of Internal Medicine and Department of Health
Management and Policy; and as a practicing physician.
